Helen C. Welshofer

Helen C. Welshofer, of Upper Boiceville Road, Boiceville died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 90. She was born November 7, 1916, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary H. Burchill Welshofer. Her husband, Thomas Hallenbeck died in January, 1981. For many years, she was employed as an executive secretary at a law firm in New York City. She enjoyed theater and the arts, loved bird watching and was a member of the Audubon Society. She was a gourmet cook. Surviving are three step-daughters and her nephew, Stephen Brown and his wife Deborah of San Juan Bautista, CA and nephews Daryel Combs-Brown and the late William H. Stucky and great-niece Katie Lizbeth Brown and great-nepehew Cody Adam Brown. A memorial gathering will be held at Helen's home on Upper Boiceville Road, Boiceville on Tuesday at 4:00 pm. Cremation was private.
