Harold Sheeley, 95, of Shokan, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at HealthAlliance Hospital - Mary's Ave Campus in Kingston, NY. He was born on July 23, 1930, in Lackawack, NY, son of the late Leo and Ethel (Martin) Sheeley.
He had several careers throughout his life including owning the original Boiceville Market, co-owning Ulster County Sanitation, and was a laborer for the City of New York DEP at the Ashokan Reservoir. Harold enjoyed owning racehorses and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Harold is survived by his children, Judy Girard and her husband Ron of Palenville, Wayne Parmelee and his wife Pam of Kingston, Cheryl Manuel of Kingston, Roger Parmelee and his wife Nancy of Middletown, and Jeanna Parmelee of CT, his sisters, Jean Christiana of VA, and Helen Robbins of NJ, his grandchildren, Jason, Robin, Marc, Alexandra, Patrick, Janina, and Roger Michael, his great grandchildren, Torin, Kiah, August, Jordan, Chad, Jackson, Austin, Mia, Zoe, and Nyjah, his great great grandchildren Malani and Miles, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harold is predeceased by his wife, Madeline Sheeley, his son, Gary Sheeley, his grandson, Kip Wyllie, his former wife, Esther Crispell, and his siblings, Walt Sheeley and Doris Tompkins.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 3pm to 6pm. A private burial service will take place at Krumville Cemetery.
