Harold C. Sturrock, 52, a lifelong resident of Port Ewen, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Kingston Hospital.
Born on Dec. 4, 1960, he was the son of the late Harold G. Sturrock and is survived by his mother Amy Sturrock, who was at his side when he passed, a sister Linda Van Etten and her husband Don, a brother Gerard Sturrock and his wife Lisa, his niece Laura, nephews Michael and Eric, his uncle Robert Sturrock and his wife Annemarie and many loving cousins.
Harold enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling with his best buddy/nephew Eric, playing video games with his nephew Michael, and spending time with his niece Laura. He looked forward to golfing with his brother Gerard and warm conversations with his sister Linda. Harold was an avid bowler and loved to fish, ride his motorcycle and spend time with family and friends.
He worked at United Health Care for over 15 years and previously worked at Micronetics. He was a lifetime member of the Port Ewen Fire Department and active in many sports leagues in his youth.
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm. The service will be at 8 pm, the Rev. Dr. David Brechter, officiating. Inurnment will be private at Riverview Cemetery.
