George Alfred Sisco

On March 2, 2026 George passed peacefully at home surrounded by love. George Sisco was born June 11, 1943, in Rock Hall, Maryland to the late Emmett and Sadie Sisco. Predeceased by his brother William and sister Dorothy.

Survived by his longtime partner, Mary Speicher of Kingston, daughters Lehanne of Kingston, Dorothy of Maryland, two granddaughters Toni and Antanye and 2 great granddaughters of Maryland. Also survived by Mary’s children, Jennifer (Todd) Michnik of Virginia, Christopher Schoenfeldt (Tracey Lodge) of Kingston, Mark Schoenfeldt of Las Vegas, and Katie (Karl) Fort of Buffalo.

George graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. After college, George served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. After his military service, George worked for 38 years at USDA/National Resource Conservation service.

George was active in the community serving as a Board member of the Mid-Hudson Health Plan from 1983-1993. George and two other board members formed the Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health, Inc., where George was the Chairman and CEO until he stepped down in 2017. Up until his illness, he was on the board of Hudson Mohawk Resource Conservation and Development Council. Inc

George will be missed by family and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 3pm to 6pm with a prayer service taking place at 6pm. Burial in Rock Hall, Maryland will take place at a later date.
