George Nettle, Jr.

George T Nettle Jr., born January 22, 1946 in Kingston, NY was called home on March 12, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY.  The son of the late George Sr. and Martha Nettle of Kingston, NY.  George was a lifelong Ulster County resident and a graduate of the General Motors Training Center in Terrytown, NY.  George spent most of his life carrying on his father’s legacy of Nettle’s Service Stations.  After retirement, George continued working for 17 years at Ametek Rotron, in Woodstock, NY.  George enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as his great grandchild, Cole.  He also enjoyed making sure all the pets in the family were well cared for when family members took vacations.  He loved his cats and going out to eat, as well as talking to his good friend Mike, at Rotron.  George is survived by his wife, Gene Nettle, five children, Melissa, Sally, Stephanie, Stacy, and Spike, grandchildren, Nicole, Dominic, Miranda, Kimberly, Gus, Donavin, Davin, Landon, and his great grandchild, Cole.  He is also survived by his two sisters, Maryann and Kate and two nieces. Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral Home, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 1pm – 4 pm, followed by a religious service to be said at 4 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at 10 am on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 US-9 Fishkill, NY 12524
