GEORGE CONYERS GRAHAM 1/8/26

In the early morning hours of January 8, 2026, George Conyers Graham passed away from a malignant, very aggressive brain tumor. He died at the HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY, with his loving partner and soulmate close by his side. George was 77. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel; brother, Jim, and sister, Susan. George’s sister, Jacqueline, predeceased him. He is also survived by his three step-children; Cheryl, Jane and Peter and his devoted life partner of the past 21 years, Jan Demuth.

George was born in Maryland where he spent half his childhood before moving to Florida. In his twenties, George moved to the Mid-Hudson area to study a Zen Method of drawing and Seeing under the late Frederick Franck of Pacem in Terris in Warwick. He did so for over thirty five years. George was also a sculptor. For many years, George worked in the automobile industry. Later, he worked as a Real Estate Agent for Win Morrison Realty. He also worked, part time, as a shuttle driver for Prestige Toyota in Kingston. George loved life. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Multi-talented, he had many pursuits throughout his life. For most of his life, George was a guitarist, phenomenal singer and song-writer. He was a memoir writer, giving him another way, besides capturing the ear of any willing listener, to share his many wonderful life stories. He enjoyed boating, kayaking and gazing out over any body of water. George loved people. He also loved nature and animals, especially his two cats. George was dedicated to his life partner and was equally loved and adored. He was often seen lending a helping hand to anyone in need. George was kind, thoughtful, generous and full of life. He will be greatly missed. In George’s memory, please share a smile or pass on a few good deeds or acts of kindness.

Rest in Peace, my Love
