Frances M. Terwilliger

Frances M. Terwilliger, of Kingston, NY, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. She was 91. She was born in Pine Bush, a daughter of the late Karl and Cecelia Lamire Gihr. She worked for many years in banking and retired from Albany Savings Bank. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Kingston and was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Town of Ulster Leisure Club. She was married to William J. Terwilliger. Mr. Terwilliger died in 1973. Surviving are two sons, Gary Terwilliger and his wife Leslie of Kingston,; Bruce Terwilliger and his wife Donna of Tillson; one brother, Bill Gihr of Pine Bush and two sisters, Eleanor "Ella" Gihr Kelly and Cecelia Gihr Brown, both of Pine Bush. Six grandchildren, Tracy Terwilliger, Vikki Longo, Kimberly Jansen, Michael Terwilliger, Carrie Metzger, Tammy Mitchell; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. Three sons, Curtis, Wayne and William "Billy" Terwilliger; a sister, Evelyn Saracino and two brothers, Karl "Bo" Gihr and Kenneth Gihr died previously.

Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Monday from 5-8pm. A funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9am and process to St. Joseph's Church in Kingston for a 10am funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
