Floyd W. Gilbert

Floyd W. Gilbert, 91, of Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017. He was born July 5, 1926 in Kingston, NY to the late Everett and Anna (Steinmiller) Gilbert.

Floyd was a Kingston High School graduate and later served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a Mail Clerk at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post #150 in Kingston.

He is survived by his niece, Carole (Edwin) Dunshie of Mesa, Arizona. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Everett, Fred, & Anne (Anna).
