Eunice M. Weeks

Kingston - Eunice M. Weeks of Prospect St. died Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Golden Hill Rehab Center. She was 92. She was born in Stone Ridge, a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Harriet A. Riley VanAken. Eunice enjoyed baking and making jams and jellies and homemade applesauce. She loved her joint adopted cat, Buffy. She enjoyed and was a big part of the Clinton Ave. Methodist Church. She was past-president of the United Methodist Women and a member of the Southeastern New York Women's Aglow Board. Eunice loved to garden and was a blessing to anyone who knew her. Eunice was a living saint. Her husband, Donald C. Weeks passed away in 1991. She is survived by her longtime caregiver, friend and caretaker, Robert J. Robinson of Kingston. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Three brothers, Edward, Albert and Ralph VanAken and her sister, Mary Elsa Wilbur died previously. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 4 - 8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Darlene Kelly at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
