Emilio Oppimitti

Emilio Oppimitti, 83, of Olivebridge passed away on Saturday April 15, 2023 at the Eleanor Nursing Care Center in Hyde Park, NY.

He was born on November 12, 1939 in Pessola, Italy where he worked on his parents farm until he moved to the United States in 1968. He got married to his wife Emily Giordani Oppimitti in 1969. He worked as a bartender until he moved his family to Olivebridge where he worked in the mason and construction fields until he retired. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved to sing. He loved great food. He will forever be missed.

Emilio was predeceased by his parents, Pietro and Domitilla Oppimitti from Pessola, Italy, his brother Giacomo Oppimitti from Torino, Italy and his brother and sister-in-law Elmo and Louisa Tinti.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Oppimitti, his daughter Anna Oppimitti, his brother and sister-in-law Andrea and Lilliana Oppimitti, his sister Irene Oppimitti Bedani, brother and sister-in-law Peter and Amelia Giordani and many nieces, nephews and a grandnephew.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral and Cremation Services in Kingston, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday April 24, 2023 at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 12 Holly Hills Drive, Woodstock, NY.

For those who wish, contributions in Emilio’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.Alz.org . The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Eleanor Nursing Clinic for their care and comfort.
