Poughkeepsie - Duane P. Hall 48, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away suddenly Friday January 11, 2013. Duane (Sonny/Uncle Deek) was born in Granville NY May 29, 1964. He was the son of Mary F. Lawton of Kingston NY and the late Russell Hall.


In 1979 Duane and his family relocated to New Paltz, NY where he graduated from New Paltz High School in 1981.


Duane is survived by his daughter Britney Frances Hall of Portlandville and 8 sisters; Diana & Scott Grey of Grahamsville , Alesia & Mark Clark of Sacramento CA, Felicia Hall of Saratoga , Tina & Louie Shaw of Ocean Springs MS, Regina & Scott Lawton of New Paltz , Chana Hall of Lake Katrine , Melissa & Scott Serinsky of Hurley , Amanda & Ray Campbell of Kingston and many nieces, and nephews.


Duane served our country during Desert Storm in the U.S Army.


Duane was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Frances and George Roberts and his step father Gene Lawton. Duane enjoyed his electronics, family gatherings, and mama dog's Lizzy Lou. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 - 7 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
