Dimitrios S Tsiamis

December 6, 1925 — February 5, 2019

Dimitrios S. Tsiamis, 93, a long-time resident of Kingston, NY, died on February 5, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, surrounded by his loving family.

Dimitri was an avid gardener who spent most of his free time tending to his vegetable garden. He grew the best tomatoes in Kingston and loved to share them with friends and family. He was the nicest man you could ever meet. He never said a bad word about anyone. Dimitri moved to Kingston with his family in 1971 from Greece. He had humble beginnings as a dish washer and with hard work, owned his own restaurant with his son, Serafim.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Andromahi Tsiamis, his son, Serafim Tsiamis of Port Ewen, and his daughter, Fotini and her husband Steven Scotti of Hurley as well as several nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY, where family and friends may visit on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm. The funeral procession will form at 10am at the funeral home on Saturday and proceed to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 294 Greenkill Ave., Kingston, NY, where at 11am the funeral service will take place. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
