Diana Wong

February 23, 1943 — November 30, 2021

Diana Mary Wong, age 78, was born February 23, 1943 in Oakland California to Olivia and Harry Wong. She resided at Mid-Hudson ARC Glasco House in Saugerties, N.Y. Diana made her heavenly journey on November 30, 2021 after a long battle with cancer and complications from Covid.

Diana is survived by her brother, Gene Jeffress and her sister, Janie Ruth Shuler. Her memories will live in the hearts of her sister-law, Donna Jeffress, her nephews, Bryan, Gerritt, her great nephews, Koda and Lornenzo Jeffress. Her many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the states. She is preceded by her brother, Harry Wong Jr., her father, Garfield Jeffress and her mother, Olivia Wong Jeffress.

Diana was and still is a source of strength for all those that she touched, a true inspiration, a fighter in a wheelchair for all of her life. She loved God, her family, her cat, and all of her friends and cherished staff at The Glasco House. She loved to laugh and to shop. She was an Elvis fan, and had Elvis impersonators celebrate her many birthdays. Diana was a girly-girl who loved to dress up and wear jewelry. Each time she visited her family, she would have something sparkly and a new outfit.

Diana attended The CRC of Ulster County for many years. She enjoyed the programs that were offered and the staff that took care of her.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Diana Marie Wong to Mid-Hudson ARC Glasco House, Saugerites, N.Y. The family is especially grateful to Jane Amato who has been with Diana for over 30 years and all the staff at Glasco House that loved and cared for Diana throughout the years.
