Denise G. Roeber, 71, of Kingston, NY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born on September 23, 1952 in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Anna Mae (Elliott) Miller. Denise was married to her loving husband of 51 years, Gary S. Roeber, recently they were planning a party for their 51st wedding anniversary which would be held on June 9th.
Denise was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1972. She later graduated from BOCES as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for Ulster County. She then worked in childcare for several years before joining the Kingston City School District as a Teacher's Aide where she worked for over 20 years, mostly at the Chambers and Crosby Elementary Schools. She was a former bowler in Friday night leagues on the “Three Hits and a Miss” team.
Denise is survived by her husband Gary Roeber, her son, Michael (Lena DuBois) Roeber, her brother, Dennis (MaryAnn) Miller, her brothers in law, Phillip (Toni) Roeber, Sr., and Paul (Katy) Roeber, her sisters in law, Victoria (Brad) Gore, and Michelle Roeber, her nieces and nephews, Jennifer DeRise, Michelle Miller (Denise's God daughter), Phillip Roeber, Jr., Kimberly England, Scott Roeber, Jessica Liu, and Lindsay Mitchell, as well as many other dear family members. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister in law, Cheryl Alger.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10am with entombment following at Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery, Kingston.
