Daisy V. Gelis

Daisy V. Gelis, 83, of Kingston, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at home in the Town of Ulster. She was born January 12, 1939 in Santiago, Cuba.

Daisy was a graduate of Columbia University where she received her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. Over the years she worked as a Pharmacist, Real Estate Agent, Substitute Teacher, and Teacher's Assistant. All of which she held without having a driver's license. She loved to eat and go to restaurants, especially in New York City. She loved being in NYC in general and walking. She loved watching the news, Matlock, Jeopardy and many other classic programs. She loved old school music and salsa music.

Daisy is survived by her daughter, Celeste Corley of Kingston, her four grandchildren, Adrian Davis, Jasmine Corley, Alexandra Corley, and Jeremiah Corley, her great grandchildren, Andre Davis, Athena Davis, Aaron Davis, Azriel Davis, and Amir Rashada. She is predeceased by her mother, Celeste Favours.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 11am to 12:15pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401 at 1pm. Burial will take place at 11:45am on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
