Craig Johnson

Craig J. “CJ” Johnson, 71, of West Hurley, NY, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at home. He was born August 19, 1950 in Kingston, NY son of the late George Walter Johnson and Doreen Ida (Pearse) Johnson. Craig was married to Nancy (Greene) Johnson, they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 30th 2022.

He retired from the Rhinebeck Water Department. Craig loved baseball, football, crossword puzzles, horse track racing, bird watching, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Johnson, of West Hurley, his children, Rebecca "Randi" Johnson-Denier of Palenville, Allie Whittaker and her husband Howie of West Hurley, and Matthew Johnson of Coxsackie, his granddaughters, Brianna Denier of Hudson, and Kaydence Whittaker of West Hurley, his step mother, Barbara "Bobbi" Johnson of Florida, his brother Wayne Johnson and his wife Mary Kay of Ulster Park, his sister, Kimberly Johnson, his step brother, Michael Ahearn of Florida, his step sister, Barb Lumbaca and her husband Carl, of Phoenicia, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Kevin Johnson.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm.
