Charles R. Stugard

Charles R. Stugard of Rt. 212, Saugerties died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 75. He was born August 25, 1932 in Williamsport, PA, a son of the late Lulu Stugard. He served in the army from 1953 1955. For many years, he was a self-employed sawyer in Pennsylvania and New York and also worked for Roth Lumber in Saugerties. Surviving is his wife, Joanne Bates Stugard; three daughters, Melody Stugard of Kingston; Deb Stugard of Williamsport, PA; Sue Houser of Raeford, NC and two sons, Bob Stugard of Greenville, NH and C.R. Stugard of Saugerties. Five grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews also survive. A son, Kenny Stugard, three brothers, Dutch, Tate and Howard Stugard and two sisters, Regina and Betty Stugard died previously. Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 Christ Lutheran Church, Mill Hill Road, Woodstock at 1:00 pm.
