Charlie was married for 68 years to the love of his life, Nancy (Torrens) Baechtle. They were wed on October 5th, 1957. He was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1953 and completed an Associate’s degree at Delhi College, Class of 1955. Charlie later worked as a mechanical design engineer for IBM in Kingston, NY for 36 years before retiring.

He loved singing, dancing, storytelling, and having outdoor adventures with them.
