Carolyn Maria Thomason

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend.

Carolyn M. Thomason, 83 years of age, passed into glory January 9, 2026.

Carolyn born Oct. 14, 1942 to the late Merton John Shultis, and Teresa B. Shultis of Brooklyn, New York. The oldest of three children, two preceded her in death; John M. Shultis, and Robert Borruso. She was married to the late Clenzo M. Thomason. Carolyn loved to laugh, loved her family and loved that she was from Brooklyn, New York. Her profession as a Teacher’s Assistant followed her to retirement, but still had a love for children, especially the difficult ones.

Carolyn leaves behind her children, Lurette D. Quijano-Israel, Jack J. Lehman Jr., and step son Anthony J. Thomason, grandchildren Tony Lehman, Lee D. Quijano, Olivia S. Quijano, Ethan C. Lehman, Makoto Thomason and Sean Thomason; and her great-grandchildren Poppy C. Lehman, Ryker and Sivana Lehman, and her niece Jona M. Shultis. 

Her sense of humor, wisdom, laughter and determination touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our memories.
