Bruce P. Maroney

April 11, 1930 — June 28, 2012

Bruce P. Maroney, 82, of Port Ewen, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Benedictine Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born April 11, 1930 in South Nyack, NY the son of the late Robert and Martha Maroney. Bruce was the husband of the late Doris M. Maroney.

Bruce was a graduate of Otisville High School, he then enlisted in the US Army in 1947, serving for 20 years, during the Korean and Viet Nam War, he attained the rank of Sergeant 1st Class.

After retirement, he went to work as a computer programmer for Ulster County Data Processing, retiring after 17 ½ years.

Bruce had attended the Town of Esopus United Methodist Church, was a former member of the Kingston Maenerchor and Damenchor and he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling cross country and going to Germany.

Bruce is survived by his children Monica R. Maroney, Yvonne R. Kallnbach and Michael G. Maroney, , sisters M. Diane Perez and Imajean R. Hubbard, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson. He was predeceased by brothers, Roland, Robert, Burdette and Clifford Maroney.

Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, services and burial were private.
