Brianna Sue Wittl

In memory of Brianna Sue Wittl, whose life was tragically taken through an act of domestic violence on September 1st, 2026.

Brianna loved hiking, camping, and fishing with her family and dogs Zoë, Dewey, and Onyx. Brianna loved to forage for mushrooms and spend time snowmobiling in Old Forge, NY. Family dinners and events were dear to her. Brianna cared for many different animals at her home and shared that passion with the people around her by creating a small farm stand where she sold maple syrup, duck eggs, quail eggs, and chicken eggs. Brianna was gifted when it came to creating the most beautiful art pieces and gifts for her family. Brianna’s passions included Ford Shelby Mustangs, photography, gardening, and painting.

If you had the honor of knowing Brianna, you knew she had a deep love for nature and animals. Brianna would regularly take in wounded and vulnerable animals and nurture them back to good health. Brianna believed all living creatures deserved kindness and a chance to recover.

Brianna’s natural instinct to protect and nurture was her way of life, and will be remembered forever. Brianna was loved deeply by her parents Jenn and Tony Smith, and her late father Peter Wittl, her sister Sierra Shultis, her aunts and uncles LeAnne Burns, Marissa and Jason Basalone, and Michael Smith, her cousins Stephan, Samantha, Nicholas, and Michaela, and her grandparents Sue Burns, Patrick and Rosanne Burns, Patricia Smith and Bernard Smith.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm.
