Bonnie DeCicco

November 5, 1951 — February 13, 2023

Our Precious Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Bonnie DeCicco, 71, of Kingston, NY, passed away on the Second Day of the week, February 13th 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with diabetes and renal failure.

Bonnie was the daughter of the late Alpheus and Cora Shumen. She was the middle daughter of 3, her sisters are Rosemarie and Judy. Bonnie married Samuel A. DeCicco in the spring of 1975. She worked managing the office of Bill DeCicco & Sons Paving and the start-up of Bridgeview Self Storage. However, the job she loved to do the most was “Do Little and Sit More”, as she would say.

Bonnie loved going to the casino and bingo, but nothing more than spending time with her family, as she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Bonnie was always a bright, loving, and happy person. She is widely remembered for her wild, outgoing and funny personality. One example which captivates Bonnie’s personality is her love for gambling. She would always tell her doctors they need a cure for her “gamble-itis”. Bonnie had an unforgettable character. She always loved dancing in the rain, her favorite songs were Happiest Girl in the whole USA and When I’m Back On my Feet Again. She loved spending time with her dog Buddy, tending to her garden, and helping those in need. The family would like to especially thank Michele Quarantino, Jill Towns, and April Covert for their support and help during the last few years.

Bonnie will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband, Samuel DeCicco Sr., her sisters, Judy Varaso and Rosemarie Shumen, her brothers in law, Ed DeCicco Sr., and Anthony DeCicco and his wife JoAnn, her sister in law, Rosemarie Cantwell and her husband Richard, her sons, Samuel DeCicco Jr. and William DeCicco, her grandchildren, Kassondra DeCicco, Samuel DeCicco III, Alexandria DeCicco, Devin DeCicco, and Jaxson Servo, her nieces and nephews, Jill DeCicco, Ed DeCicco Jr., ToniLeigh Ivankovic, Jospeh DeCicco, Todd Cantwell, Richard Cantwell Jr., Danielle Shumen, Debbie and Joe Long, Richard and Susie Hummer, as well many great nieces and nephews.
