Beatrice Ruth Gille

Beatrice Ruth Gille, 85 of Acacia Village, Utica, NY, formerly of Sunrise Park, Kingston, passed away April 19, 2015.She was born September 14, 1929 in Kingston, to the late Irving and Ruth Gardiner.


She was the loving wife of Edward C. Gille, Jr. they wed on September 25, 1955 at Reformed Church of The Comforter.


She had attended Kingston High School and had been employed by the Grand Union Co. from 1945 - 1966 at the Broadway store and then the Albany Ave. store until her retirement.

She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, a 35 year member of the Emmanuel Wiltwyck Chapter #155 Order of Eastern Star (formerly Clinton Chapter # 445) being very active until moving to Utica. She always enjoyed knitting and Pinochle.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving sister Geraldine Cullen, a brother in law Paul "Jake" Smith, niece Patricia Murray and her husband Bernard, nephew Michael S. Smith, grand nephew Austin B. Murray, several cousins and many dear friends from Kingston and Acacia Village.

She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Smith and a brother in law Austin W. Cullen.


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be Friday at 11 am.


The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Trinity Evengelical Lutheran Church, 72 Spring Street, Kingston, NY 12401 or Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker St., Utica, NY 13501
