Albert Hanley, 83, formerly of Port Ewen and Kingston died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Renaissance Rehabilitation, Staatsburg, NY. He was born November 29, 1928 in Kingston, NY to the late Walter and Pearl McConvey Hanley.
Mr. Hanley was retired from the New York Army National Guard, 156th. Field Artillery following 21 years of service. He was a Truck Driver for Ulster County Highway Department for 31 years. He was a former member of the Port Ewen Fire Department and Loyal Order of the Moose.
Surviving is his sister, Barbara Hanley of Ft. Myers, Fl; a brother, Gerald Hanley and his wife Shirley of Perkasie, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a dear friend, Mildred Locke.
Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at which time services will be conducted. Interment with military honors provided by Joyce Schirick Post # 1386 VFW will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Port Ewen Fire Department or Loyal Order Of Moose #970, Kingston, NY 12401.
