Mildred R. Lannon, 77, of Lucas Avenue died Saturday, December 20, 2003 at TenBroeck Commons Nursing Home. She was born in Manhattan on September 12, 1926. For many years she worked at Roosevelt Hospital, NYC as a dietary aide. Mrs. Lannon moved to this area in 1974. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church and a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Her husband John P. Lannon died November 13, 1990. One brother Thomas Cook and one sister Ada Gittens both died previously. Loving mother of Thomas Lannon and his wife Diane; and John P. Lannon Jr.; sister of Grace Blanchard. Three grandchildren also survive. Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Wednesday from the funeral home at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 11:00 AM. Interment in Wiltwyck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 381051942.
