Hideko Abe Coon

Hideko Abe Coon, 73, of Turkey Lane, Woodstock passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. She was born in Yokota, Shimane-ken, Japan, the daughter of the late Shuzo and Shinako Abe. She was extremely active, caring for her family and home and participating in a wide range of hobbies. She was an accomplished fly fisherwoman, avid ballroom dancer and Vice President of the Tachibana Chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Japanese flower arranging Society of New York. As a seamstress and owner of Abe Studio Creative Design, she was a creative design partner for Laughing Bear Batik Company. She is survived by Donald Coon, her husband of 50 years, three children, two grandchildren, and a brother. She was loved by many and will be fondly remembered by all.
