Elnora Ellie Morris

Elnora 'Ellie' Morris, of Flatbush Ave., Town of Ulster died Wednesday, April 4, 2007. She was 69. Ellie was born in New York City on July 12, 1937, a daughter of the late Arthur and Robert Morris. She attended PS 119 in Manhattan and for many years lived at the Staten Island Developmental Center. In 1982 Ellie moved to Kingston and lived at Ulster - Greene ARC's Reed House and then, in 1997, moved to Palmer House. Ellie attended Tillson Day Program from 1982 - 1997. After moving to Palmer House, she attended Pecora Center Day Program. She recently participated in day program activities offered through Palmer's in-house program. Ellie's appearance was important to her. She enjoyed new clothes, pocketbooks, having her hair styled and nails done. She loved music, dancing, movies, humor, conversation and just being in the company of people and making friends. Two brothers, Arthur and Robert Morris, lived in New York City. Ellie is survived by many dear friends at Ulster - Greene ARC. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at a time to be announced at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
