Elizabeth Liddle

Elizabeth "Betty" Liddle of Fairview Ave. Ext., Kingston died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 88. She was born April 6, 1919 in Liverpool, England, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Elizabeth Duffy. Mrs. Liddle had worked as a baker for the former Montgomery Ward in Uptown, Kingston. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Surviving is her husband, James E. Liddle, a brother, Francis Duffy of Ojai, CA and a sister, Margaret Jones of Milton Keynes, England and her devoted neighbors, Ed and Tosca Sweeney and Alma Strickland. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Four brothers, Edward "Ted", Walter, John, George Duffy and a sister, Violet Duffy, all of Liverpool England died prviously. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Wednesday afternoon from 2 - 4 pm. A funeral procession will form on Thursday at the funeral home at 9:15 am and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 am funeral Mass. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
